365 Lifestyle Lolita Challenge- Day 7

I'm a little late because I haven't been home all day today, but I made it to Day 7 of the 365 Lifestyle Lolita Challenge! Yay!

Day 7: Photograph little details from your favorite dress
Most of the challenges so far were ones I could have done easily, despite being home, but of course the one day I stay at a friend's house, this one gets posted! Haha. I finally got home, and braced myself for the challenge of deciding which dress was my favorite. Since I own a few of my dream dresses, this ended up being quite hard! I decided to go with Cat's Tea Party from Angelic Pretty however, since it's my rarest print, and ends up getting saved for special occasions only. My apologies for any wrinkles from storage, since it hangs in my closet for very long periods of time.
My favorite litte sassy kitty!
Honestly, I'm curious as to how they'd hold the silverware.
Closeup of the lace on the bust. Sadly, this one didn't come with custom lace, but the roses are pretty!
Shot of the border print and dotted tulle on the hem. "Kira" is scripted on the fan of one kitty, while
"Angelic Pretty" is scattered around some of the cameos on the rest of the dress.

365 Lifestyle Lolita Challenge- Day 6

Wow! It's almost a week in to 2016 already! Can you believe it? The new day for the 365 Lifestyle Lolita Challenge is up!
Day 6: Change your alarm to something pleasant.
This one was a bit tough, only because my itunes refused to register any of my devices, but now that I've gotten that fixed, here we are! I usually have an obnoxious tone for my alarm, because I have a hard time hearing it when I'm sleeping, and often sleep though 3-5 alarms. For the sake of this challenge though, I decided to change it to something a little more soothing, so I'll find out tomorrow if all goes well!

I went with a music box version of "For the First Time in Forever" from Frozen! If it doesn't go over well as an alarm, I may change it to a ringtone later in, it's so pretty! Anyone else go with the Disney route for their challenge? And suggestions that may help me better with waking up in the morning? Let me know!

365 Lifestyle Lolita Challenge- Day 5

Here's to day 5 of the 365 Lifestyle Lolita Challenge! Hanging in there so far!
Day 5: Discover a new book to read.
I feel like I may be cheating at this one a little bit. I started reading a new book back in December, but I never find time to read, except during my lunches at work, so it takes me forever to get through a book. One of my best friends recommended one of her favorite books to me, so on my last trip, I decided to drag it along with to read on the plane. I'm only about halfway through, and it's already 2016, so it counts as a new book to read this year, right?
Anyway, the book itself is called "The Night Circus", written by Erin Morgenstern. It's about a circus that travels across the globe, popping up like magic in a new location overnight, and is only open from sundown to sunrise while it's there. There's real magic in the circus, disgused as fake magic, and it's a pretty good novel if you're into circus-y themes, romance, and goth type stuff, and, of course, magic. Of course, since I haven't yet finished the book, and since I wouldn't want to ruin it for you anyway, I can't tell you how great the ending is, but so far, I would reccommend. It's written in more of a Young Adult style reading, which I know some people aren't into reading, but I sometimes find the best stories in YA and childrens' books! Any good books you'd like to reccommend? I'd love to hear it!

365 Lifestyle Lolita Challenge- Day 4

Hello! Day 4 of the 365 Lifestyle Lolita Challenge is up!

Day 4: Learn a new easy hairstyle.
I'm totally the laziest person in the world, so I prefer to wear wigs instead of styling my hair when I wear lolita, but lately I've been getting major headaches when I wear wigs, so this year in general, I want to start styling my own hair more often! I have my own usual go-to hairstyle when I wanna look cute, but of course, it gets old to see all the time, haha.

A blurry selfie of my favorite hairstyle
One hairstyle I've always wanted to try, I actually found a long time ago in one of my old english Gothic & Lolita bibles. I though it was super cute, but have never gotten around to trying it. This year, I hope to finally give it a try! I'll be sure to keep you updated when I do so!

The bunny-ears style on the bottom left! Though I have also been a fan of the
faux-bob on the right, and will likely try it out too someday!

365 Lifestyle Lolita Challenge- Day 3

Another day down! Here's Day 3 of the Lifestyle Lolita Challenge!
Day 3: Memorize a friend's wishlist.
I may not have one friend's wishlist memorized entirely, but I know the dream dress of all my super close friends! I also have a pretty good idea of the big prints they're after currently. In fact, for Christmas, I ended up painting ornaments for my best friends with their dream dress/print on them!

365 Lifestyle Lolita Challenge- Day 2

Hello! It's time for day 2 of the Lifestyle Lolita Challenge!

Day 2: Look up a list of museums in your area
This one's an easy one! Right off the bat I can think of two museums around Denver that I've always wanted to go to. First is the Molly Brown House Museum, a victorian home of the former Molly Brown, who survived the sinking of the Titanic. It's such a cute place, where a Victorian Tea service is also available, and would even be fitting for a lolita meet!

Second, would be the Denver Museum of Miniatures, Dolls, and Toys. What can I say, I have a soft spot for miniature items, and I think it would be really neat to visit. There's actually a lolita meet planned there in February, so I'm hoping to be able to attend!

365 Lifestyle Lolita Challenge

Hello all, and Happy New Year! I know it's been a long time since I posted on here. I'm not exactly the most active in the blogging/ online community. Today, my attention was caught by a recent challenge posted by Lacealamode where it prompts a small challenge every day this year related to your lolita wardrobe, and that only takes a few minutes. I believe it will help to grow and define yourself as a lolita! I'm joining in as much as possible, though I apologize if I fall behind on any days. Please feel free to join me!

Day 1: Set a Goal for your Wardrobe
This is a a bit of a tough one for me right off the bat, haha. My wardrobe is a fairly large size, but I'm definitely looking to collect more pieces. I guess for me, this year I hope to sell off the pieces I don't like, or never wear, because I'm lazy and have had them in there way longer than I should, and finally add some of my wishlist items that I've super crazy about. I also want to add some more cutsews and cardigans to my collection, because they fit my chest much better than blouses, and are way more comfortable!
