Wardrobe Challenge Day 9!

Hi again! I'm back with more frilly, wardrobe-y goodness as I move on to day 9 of the wardrobe challenge!

Day 9: Your Most Popular Color

Can you guess what my favorite color is? Pink is the most common color to pop up in my wardrobe, followed by Ivory (most of which also has pink on it anyway). Most of these pop up in other parts of the wardrobe challenge, so I'll save the detail shot for those pages. I also have twice as many pink blouses and cutsews as I do any other color as well!

On the opposite spectrum, my least favorite color in lolita is black. It may be because I'm mostly a sweet lolita, or because I tend to stray away from the color outside of the fashion as well. Most of the black items I've had have not lasted long after being introduced to my wardrobe.

Do you have any reoccurring color themes in your closet? Have any colors you dislike in lolita? Let me know what you think!

Wardrobe Post Day 8!

Hello! Another day, another challenge. I'm slowly working on my writing too as I always feel like I never know what to write for these things!

Day 8: Your Favorite Novelty Item

This is only a small portion of the novelty items I've collected over the years as I still haven't unpacking completely since moving. My very first piece was the gingham teacup set from Angelic Pretty! It's hard to pick a favorite, but I think that would have to be it.
I also have a collection of posters and postcards that need to be hung up once we get around to settling in more.

Do you have a collection of novelty items? Do you had a favorite of them? Let me know what you think!

EGL Wardrobe Challenge- Day 7!

Howdy! It's a whole week into the new year and the wardrobe challenge now!

Day 7: An Item You Could Never Sell

Unfortunately I only snagged one photo of this bad boy this time around. Basically anyone who knows me in person knows how long it took me to get this goddamn pancake bag purse. I managed to snag the Honey Cake OP the year it was released, and the JSK several years later. Throughout the years however, I tried auction and auction again to win the Honey Cake bag. A couple years ago, I finally managed to snag this from an auction on Yahoo Japan and to my surprise, it was still new with tags when it arrived! Due to the amount of time I spent looking over the years, I feel like I could never sell this bag!

Do you have a piece that you feel like you could never sell? Is there a piece you've hunted down forever? Let me know what you think!

Wardrobe Challenge Post- Day 6!

Hello friends! I'm on to day 6 of the lolita wardobe challenge and still going strong! This post is a little later than usual because it took me a lot of time to decide which to choose!

Day 6: Your Favorite Coord

So just over a year ago, I invited my friends and family to The Brown Palace for afternoon tea as I did every year for my birthday. After tea was finished, the group was taken on a tour of the hotel as I snuck away to change my coordinate. They were lead into an empty room where my fiance and I held a surprise wedding ceremony!

Excuse the awkward face, I was trying not to cry!

I'll probably create another post later on and go more in-depth on the details since this is supposed to be about my wardrobe, but my wedding coord has definitely been one of my favorites! When you've been into the fashion for so long, it's sometimes hard to reach a level where you feel like you've coordinated an outfit fit for "special occasions" but I certainly felt special in this!

Did you wear a lolita dress for your wedding or do you plan to in the future? Do you have a favorite coordinate of your own? Let me know what you think!

Wardrobe Challenge Day 5!

Hello! The weekend is here and I have time to catch up on more wardrobe-related things!

Day 5: Your Most Popular Brand

For some reason, instead of making my life easier and just telling you what my favorite brand was, I had to spend a good 5+ hours making a collage of photos of the brand's name featured on every print I own from them.

Maybe I'll make a guessing game in the future or something?

Of course Angelic Pretty is the winner here! I've tried out various brands and off-brands and somehow they keep dragging me back in with their quirky, colorful, and sweet prints. Something about their aesthetic has always appealed to me!

Do you see your favorite print featured here? Do you have a favorite lolita brand? Let me know what you think!

Wardrobe Challenge Day 4

Welcome Back! Or welcome for the first time! As the fourth day of the Lolita Wardrobe challenge approaches, I am already forgetting which prompt I'm supposed to be posting.

Day 4: Your First (Or Oldest) Brand Piece

As the name would creatively imply, Cat Print Skirt by Metamorphose was one of the first pieces to catch my eye by featuring playful kitties frolicking around the hem. I opted for the long length version because, not owning a main piece from brand before, I assumed the regular length would basically reach my crotch at 5'7". Turns out it still reaches below my knee and I've since learned my lesson.

Turns out that Meta has five documented prints called "Cat Print". This was the last one released before they
started giving them other names.
The design is simple, but the detail of the print is quite nice.
What was the first brand piece you've acquired? Is it still hanging in the depths of your closet? Let me know what you think!

Wardrobe Challenge Day 3

Holy heck, I am on a roll. I'm back with the Lolita Wardrobe Challenge, and it's time to kick it off with Day 3!

Day 3: Your Dream Dress(es)

So pictured above are my three dream dresses, shown in the order that I acquired them in. Dream Sky, Cat's Tea Party , and Bunny-Chan Pockets.

Adorable buttons and more custom lace.

Cute little logo charms!

Again, the moon is my favorite part. I had this tattooed on myself a few years ago for my 10 year loli-versary!

Dream Sky in blue had been my first dream dress ever since it was released back in 2011. I originally owned the skirt which I found for a steal on Mbok, and a friend of mine later traded me for the JSK!

While it doesn't have custom lace, the rose pattern they picked pairs nicely with the dress.

This is my favorite kitty. I love how his little tongue sticks out.

So much sass.

This dang kitty dress had my heart the moment AP announced the pre-order. From the pure amount of sass that radiates off their faces, to the way they mysteriously are able to hold silverware despite the lack of thumbs. I scrapped my money together the instant they posted the orders on their old international website. Fun fact: Back in the day the conversion rate was awful and cost me well over $600 after shipping for this bad boy. That didn't stop me from ordering the grey during the recent re-release.

When AP releases a non-printed item, they definitely make up for it in details.

The folded ear and larger polka-dots apparently make this the 2008 release.

I need more scallops in my life.

My most recently gained dream dress is Bunny-Chan Pockets. While it originally was released before the others, my desperate want for it was fueled a couple years later during the age of the English Gothic & Lolita Bibles. I have run across a total of 3 listings for this thing among many years of searching, and finally won it a couple months ago. To my satisfaction the bunny pockets are actual functioning pockets, which brings the total of this piece to three and therefore out-pocketing any of my other pieces.

Have you sailed the seven seas in search for the sweet victory that one tastes from the acquisition of a dream dress, or are you desperately waiting for the day that a higher being blesses you with what can only be described as the comfort of a thousand angels resurrected into physical form? Let me know what you think!
